The Wiesenhof day picnic area is situated in an idyllic setting
amongst trees with lawns and water features. There are 4 chlorinated
blue swimming pools including 2 ‘kiddies’ pools and
one natural water pool.
350 shaded braai spots and 3 ablution blocks with change-rooms are
provided. The picnic area is well protected from the wind and two
large lapas provide shelter on rainy days. There is also a children's
playground and a roller skating rink built on a dam. (Please bring
your own roller skates, roller blades or scooters along.) In the
peak season we offer boat cruises on the lake. The coffee shop and
kiosk provides tea, coffee, cake, ice cream, chips, cool drinks
and sweets. Fire-wood is also available.
We are open daily from 08h00 to 18h00.
The entrance fee is R35 per person 12
years and older and R25 per person under 12. There is no charge on a baby under two years and on vehicles. Boxing Day and New Year's Day the entrance fee is R50 per person (Adults and children). Booking is not required
for cars. Busses are allowed by prior appointment only.
